Nairobi - Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua will shed real tears come the 2017 General Election, Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has said.
Mutua shed tears in Machakos over the weekend for what he termed as disappointment over the move by some leaders to frustrate him and his new Kamba community initiative the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement from making progress.
Omar though, says that Mutua will shed real tears in 2017 after losing his seat and that he will regret absconding from the Wiper Democratic Party and disowning party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
" Some people are trying to box us into the dynamics of one who sheds tears over one or two issues. That is not for us to get into at this juncture and is out of topic," he said.
" The tears that will be shed genuinely is when someone will lose the 2017 elections," he added.
Mutua has openly gone against Kalonzo and says that he will go on his own come the 2017 elections.
He has also garnered the support of some Ukambani leaders who have also not been seen at any party rallies and meetings in recent times.
