Nairobi - Tiptip party leader Kalembe Ndile has recommend that Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama and Gatundu South legislature Moses Kuria be recommend for psychiatrist check-ups before they are recommended for prosecution.
Ndile said the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP Keriako Tobiko should also recommend that the two have the mental check because utterances made by the leaders would lead the country back to the post election violence.
“The two should be taken for a check-up and we in our party are now considering incooperating it in parties primaries’ to ensure that we do not end up giving opportunities to leaders who will incite the public,” said Ndile.
Speaking to the press after meeting Tiptip regional leaders in Mombasa, Ndile said the mental check-up will clearly state if a leader is in the right frame of mind to speak before the public.
He said Kuria, the Gatundu South MP's move to walk out of a public Tv station while on air was not normal.
Ndile also demanded that Cord leadership declare to the public how much they had collected after their initiation of the solidarity fund for teachers.
“We want to know how much CORD has collected and how they intend to use the funds, now that we hear that they have collected over 5 billion shillings, ” he added.
He revealed that the party is set to give free nomination to youth and women and also will seek recommendation letters from pastors and Imams of those who intend to vie through the party ticket.
