Muslim MPs condemn Kasarani Stadium detention

Nairobi - A group of muslim MPs have called for the closure of the Kasarani Stadium detention camp calling it unlawful.
The MPs have questioned government motives for the camp, terming it as sinister and against the Jubilee coalition's manifesto of protecting the rights of Kenyans.
Further, they say that they will withdraw support for the Jubilee government if the attacks on their people continue.
They also declared support for the under fire Majority Leader of the national assembly Aden Duale who has also broken ranks with the government over the matter.
Duale last week threatened to stop supporting the government if the continued round-up of Somali's in Eastleigh and Mombasa continued.
" The government has stopped protecting the rights of Kenyans and it has patronized others. That is unacceptable, he said.
The government though has said that it will continue with the operation and detention of people it terms as dangerous and has already announced the deportation of 82 Somali nationals from the country.
" The safety of Kenyans is utmost and nothing will stop the government from ensuring so, even if it means chasing a few people away, president Uhuru Kenyatta said last week.
