Mudavadi loses forum support

20 December 2012, 13:07Steve Wambugu

The Luhya forum group based in Nakuru County have said they will not be supporting Presidential hopeful Musalia Mudavadi in his bid of becoming the fourth President of Kenya.

While addressing the groups gathering on Thursday, the Chairman of the lobby group Evans Chitere said that they will be supporting Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula in CORD coalition in forming the next government.

Evans stated that, for many years the luhya community have been divided on who to support during the election nearing period saying it was high time the community supported one candidate for the post of Presidency.

"We have been divided for son long but this time round we need to unite and vote as one block in the coming elections"  said the Chairman.

He added that, the group had chosen to settle with Wetangula over Mudavadi because he had shown leadership quality and that he is someone who can unite all Kenyans as compared to Mudavadi whom they said he was more of cool and collective leader.

However, the group said that they are working towards bringing together Minister for Justice and Constitution Eugene Wamalwa and Cyrus Jirongo in coming together and support the CORD alliance.
