Mudavadi is not UDF chairman, tribunal says

Nairobi - Musalia Mudavadi is not the United Democratic Front UDF chairman, the political parties tribunal has said.
The tribunal ruled Thursday that Mudavadi, who run for the presidency in the 2013 General Elections as leader of the party and Amani coalition was not the legitimate party boss.
It instead named Hassan Osman, who Mudavadi kicked out of the party, as the legitimate chairman.
The move will be a setback and blow to Mudavadi, who has in the past insisted that he is by a long way the leader of the party and head of the Amani coalition.
In October, UDF also elected to eject Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale from the party for his continued flirtation with the CORD coalition.
That move though, was stopped by the registrar of political parties who said that Khalwale was within his rights to contest the charge.
