Mother and son arraigned for robbery and violence charges

Nakuru - A middle aged woman and her son were on Wednesday arraigned before a court to answer charges of robbery and violence.
The two are accused of violently robbing off a business man his motor vehicle in Molo town on
November 17 2013.
According to the state prosecutor Rop Sirorei, the two suspects with others not before court ambushed the complainant while he was parking his vehicle and robbed him at gun point.
They allegedly took his personal belongings including a cell phone and KES 20, 000 before they sped off in the stolen vehicle.
The motor vehicle worth KES 1.5 million was later traced through a car track service and spotted at Kayole area in Nairobi County

Criminal Investigative officers are said to have recovered the car which was in movement to a car garage at Githurai 44.
As they approached the vehicle, they found four men dismantling and vandalizing the vehicle into parts.
The four suspects are said to have resisted arrest and fired at the policemen who had ordered them to surrender.
According to the police report, they arrested two suspects while the rest managed to escape.
The CID officers recovered two bunches of car keys and damaged car track gadgets in the garage.
Following an interrogation, the suspects led the officers to a house where they found a woman and recovered an AK47 weapon hidden in the apartment.
The accused were taken to Kayole Police Station where they recorded statements pertaining to the matter.
Principal Magistrate Felix Kombo is set a date for hearing on October when all the witnesses are expected to testify.
