Nairobi - The government has made changes to the leadership of the National Police Service, it has announced.
The changes come just a few days after some more, which saw senior County administrators moved.
They also come a few days after Inspector General of Police Deputy Grace Kaindi was fired.
Former Nairobi County Police Commander Benson Kibue is the new director of operations at Vigilance House.
He replaces Phillip Ndolo who has been moved to head the Kenya Airports Police Unit.
Toroitich Chelimo is the new General Service Unit Commandant, replacing Joel Kitili who has been promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police.
In further changes, Gideon Kimilu has been dropped as deputy director criminal investigations. Joseph Ashimala replaces him.
Traffic Commandant Mr Charlton Muriithi was also dropped and Jacinta Kinyua appointed to replace him.
The changes come as reforms in the Police service seek to be put in place and changes to the outlook of the service effected.
