Mombasa Annual Cultural Festival

Mombas - Customs and cultural diversity is set to take stage at this year’s Mombasa Annual Cultural Festival set to kick off on Thursday.
Over 40,000 thousand both local and international tourists are set to flock at the coastal town to attend the anticipated annual event.
More than More than 50 exhibitors are will showcase at the event, which will take place in different locations among them Fort Jesus, Makadara Grounds, Mama Ngina drive, Swahili Cultural Centre and the elephant tusks on Moi Avenue.
Mombasa county tourism boss Job Tumbo said the event that has coasted over quarter a million is a move to market Mombasa at the international stage as a tourism destination.
“Everything is in place. Security has been beefed up with visible and invisible measures in place. Mombasa is the place to be,” Tumbo said.
Mombasa security chiefs have assured tourists off their security during the event.
