Moi receiving backing from his dad

Nakuru - Kuresoi south member of parliament, Zakayo Cheruiyot has claimed that former President Daniel Moi is fully supporting his son's move to revamp KANU in Rift Valley.
Cheruiyot said that he is very close to Moi and knows well that the former President fully supports the idea.
Speaking in Nakuru town Thursday, Cheruiyot said that he is ready to support Junior Moi and work with him ahead of 2017.

"I have a very close connection with Mzee Moi and I know he is in full support of his son's idea of selling himself and his party to the people of Rift Valley," said Cheruiyot who added that senior politicians and businessmen in the region are fully behind Moi.
"I have talked to senior and veteran politicians from our region and they have assured me that they want to take the direction Gideon is showing them," he said.
The MP said that he will join KANU when the right time comes.
