Moi: Give Jubilee govt time
15 July 2013, 11:54
Retired President Daniel Moi has reiterated the need to give the Jubilee government the required cooperation to facilitate fulfillment of its pre-election pledges.
Moi said the new government can still deliver all the pledges they made to Kenyans if the public remain patient with the new administration.
“We have to be patient and cooperate with the new government to facilitate the fulfillment of all the pledges they made to Kenyans,” He said.
Implementation of new constitution will take time
Speaking over the weekend in Rongai Nakuru where he graced the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVST) graduation ceremony, Moi said that it was important for every one to realise that the constitution is still new and its implementation will take time.
He said that it is impossible to fulfill all the promises made at one go urging the public to be patient.
Moi also challenged the youth to take advantage of the opportunities created by the new constitution and asked them to manage themselves well in order to reap the fruits of devolution.
He said that population was increasing rapidly therefore straining existing investment opportunities adding that there was need for youths to maximize the opportunities they get.
He challenged RVST management to base their training on market needs so as to match with the growing demands in the job market.
