Nairobi - A missing Muslim cleric that is said to be a relative to Majority Leader Aden Duale has been found dead in Embu town.
The cleric, known as Sheikh Mohamed Ali Kheri or to friends and followers as Sheikh Dawara went missing three days
ago in Garissa.
He was found dead in a water pond in Embu Sunday and is a supposed cousin to Aden Duale, the majority leader in the national assembly.
Many have pointed an accusing finger at the police, including Duale himself, who has called on authorities to bring those involved to book.
" My condolences to the family of Sheikh Dawara whose body was found in
Embu. The killers must be brought to book even if it's the police, he tweeted.
According to sources, Dawara has been named on the wrong side of the law on several occasions as regards radicalization of youth in the region.
Police were yet to respond officially on the matter.
Dawara is the latest in a string of clerics to be killed in the last 12 months, with a good number accused of taking part in radical activities in the country.
