A British Army soldier reported to have been missing for 10 days from the training camp in Nanyuki was found on Wednesday at Majengo slums.
On April 1, Nanyuki police station received the report from a military police working at the British Army Training Unit in Kenya (BATUK) indicating that the soldier, only identified as Rocky, was lastly seen on March 23.
Laikipia East Police boss Joshua Lutukai says that the disappearance report was made by the military policeman who identified himself as Samson.
The OCPD confirms that says that Samson made a report that the missing soldier had been lastly seen on March 23 outside a local pub and in the company of a girl called Carol.
However, Lutukai wondered why it took them so long to report the matter.
The police commander said that he made frantic efforts to contact Samson in order to conduct further investigations but in vain.
The soldier was found at Majengo slums in Nanyuki town by the BATUK team.
However, efforts by the media to contact the BATUK Quarter master for more details bore no fruits as his phone went unanswered.
