Miguna: ODM means Orange Demagogue Movement

24 September 2012, 17:40James Kabotia

Miguna Miguna has hit out at Prime Minister Raila Odinga saying that his ODM party has now been engulfed by KANU, terming it as ‘Orange Demagogue Movement’.

“Everyone revolving around Raila was in the Moi regime and they are the same fellows who were in the single dictatorship KANU party", Miguna has said.

The controversial author and former Advisor to the Prime Minister was speaking in his visit to Nanyuki town on Friday to popularize his book, Peeling Back The Mask.

Miguna was given a red-carpet welcome by Nanyuki residents as a convoy of motor vehicles and boda boda led his way through the busy town to the Municipal Social Hall where he addressed his audience.

He was welcomed by former Director of Laikipia Teacher Sacco Antony Mutahi who is now contesting for the Laikipia East Mp seat.

Miguna said that the Prime Minister has been sending him rowdy youths all over the country to disrupt his tours because he fears him.

“I have known Raila for many years just like a wife stays with her husband and that’s why he fears me”, said Miguna.

Miguna said that since the formation of coalition government in 2008, corruption has eroded the country because leaders have been busy filling up their stomachs instead of serving Kenyans.

He further said: “After the promulgation of the new constitution, the Prime Minister has been covering himself with a mask called reforms yet he is not the one who was involved in the realization of that constitution”.

Miguna reacted to the PM’s short story of a man who went to the river to bathe and a mad person took away his clothes and ran away, saying that it is true he wants the whole world to see the PM’s nakedness.

He urged people to be wise when electing their leaders because some of the leaders think that there is a free ride to state house.

Mr. Mutahi said that the former PM’s aide is free to express his personal experiences because Kenya is now in the new dispensation, free from the old era of dictatorship.

“It is our right as citizens to be informed and Miguna too has a right to air his opinions just as it is stratified in the constitution”, Mutahi added.
