Nairobi - Minority Chief Whip and ODM leader Jakoyo Midiwo is recovering after nearly collapsing after campaigns in Homa Bay County.
The enigmatic and usually vociferous Midiwo felt the effects of a strenuous day of campaigns Tuesday in Homa Bay and thus asked to be taken to hospital.
He is currently at the Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu.
Midiwo had apparently felt like fainting and was taken to hospital where it was discovered that he was fatigued.
" He has been to hospital. It was just fatigue and nothing serious. Nothing to worry too much about," an aide of the Gem MP who did not want to be named told News24.
Midiwo's near collapse had raised panic stations within the party with the collapse of other party leaders in recent months having shocked supporters.
The party is in mourning after the death of the party's Homa Bay branch chair-lady Monica Omollo in a road accident Tuesday night.
