Busia - Busia County Medical superintendent for Health, Janerose Ambuchi on Tuesday recorded a statement at the Busia Police Station saying that she had received death threats from an unknown person.
Speaking to journalists outside Busia Police Station, Ambuchi further revealed that it was the second time she had received death threats from unknown persons.
“I received a phone call and a man’s voice from the other end said that he had been sent,” Dr. Ambuchi said.
She added that she initially thought it was a patient who was seeking medical help only for the man to reveal that he had been sent to finish her and her children.
Dr. Ambuchi said, “I received the first threat two years ago but I didn't bother to report to the police.”
Confirming this, police said they had launched investigations into the death threats of the senior medical officer.
“We shall seek the help of mobile service providers in order to identify the anonymous caller and unravel the mystery of the death threats,” they assured.
