Nairobi - All candidates shortlisted for the position of the CEO of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC have masters degrees.
The shortlisted candidates who are nine in number, will go through the final vetting process before a decision on who the next CEO will be is made.
The IEBC has yet to fully replace deposed CEO James Oswago who was kicked out of the organization due to corruption charges.
The nine are acting CEO Betty Nyabuto, Dickson Onyango, Lawrence Chelimo, Benjamin
Tarus, Erastus Ethekon, Katasi Nekoye, Robert Namulungu, Ezra Chiloba
and Zephaniah Aura.

It was also announced by the IEBC that the nine all possess Masters Degrees, despite the requirement being a first degree with requisite experience.
Oswago had also been invited to apply for the job, but he has seemingly not qualified.
The IEBC came under serious pressure during and after the March 2013 General Election over its handling of the election.
The opposition CORD coalition is still calling for the IEBC's disbandment saying it cannot be trusted to handle serious national matters.
