Martha Karua calls on women

18 October 2012, 11:32Steve Wambugu

Presidential aspirant Martha Karua has called upon on women to rise up and contest for various post in the forth coming general elections which are slated to take place next year.

Speaking on Wednesday morning after meeting with a group of women delegates from Nakuru County, the NARC Kenya boss said the only way the country will be able to move on as one is only if there will be a gender equality in the leadership positions.

“This country is ours and if we want to move forward as one nation we must have gender equality in our leadership positions and thats why we as women have to come out and contest for all posts in the coming elections” said Karua.

Karua added that there was a need of change in the leadership and governance in the country saying she was more than ready to bring the change that Kenyans have been craving for.

Avoiding to talk of forming any coalition deals, Karua said her party will be filling all the candidates in all post adding that NARC Kenya will be going solo in the coming elections.
