Man who sodomized minors escape wrath of irate public

04 December 2014, 22:56 Robert Chepkwony

Nakuru - Irate parents in Mbaruk trading centre, Gilgil sub county of Nakuru County have expressed anger over a man at his 50's, accused of sodomizing 10 boys aged between 9 and 10 in the area.

The suspect identified as ‘Sonko’, who works as a barber escaped death by a whisker when irate members of the public descended on him after the minors confessed over the heinous act done to them by the suspect.

Parents who spoke to the media at the scene revealed that their sons had started developing difficulty in walking and stomachaches.

They say the suspect had been luring minors into one of the un-occupied houses in the area, this, after giving them sweets and coins, the area Chief being accused for allegedly covering the suspect.

Efforts to reach the area chief were futile as calls went un-answered.

One parent said, “”I became suspicious when I noticed my son had a difficulty in walking and after questioning him, I decided to take her for medical test where results indicated that he had been sodomized.”

The mother confronted the man who in turn threatened to kill her for tarnishing his name but members of the public surged and vowed to lynch him before he escaped.

She said despite making reports to the area chief and administration police officers at Kiungururia AP camp, no action had been taken to date.

The man is said to have been chased away from the nearby Ngorika farm after he reportedly engaged in the same behavior.
