Man to appear in court for assaulting his father

Nyeri - A man has been (Wednesday) arraigned before a Nyeri court for allegedly beating up and chasing his father after a family disagreement at Ndugamano village, Tetu constituency.
Francis Nderitu was accused of assaulting his father, Wilbert Wamathai, and later chasing him away from his home on February 2, this year.
Wamathai told the resident magistrate, John Aringo that he went to his son house to settle a domestic dispute in the son's family when the young man got annoyed and started beating him stating that his father should not involve himself in the matter.
Another witness,Dominic Nderitu told the court that he found the accused fighting with the father and went to the father's rescue.
The accused denied the charges and was released on a KES 20,000 bond.
