Naivasha - Police in Naivasha are searching for a man who slashed and seriously injured his wife and two daughters on Sunday night.
According to police reports, the man arrived home drunk and when his wife questioned him, he picked up a machete and began slashing her and his two daughters.
Speaking to the press Monday morning, Naivasha police boss Charles Kortok said the woman and daughters sustained cuts on hands and legs in the attack.
“The drunken man used a panga to slash his wife and daughters aged between 12 and 15. The victims are currently recuperating at a local hospital as police search for the suspect who escaped,” said Kortok.
Kortok noted that the man is a habitual drinker and has on several occasions threatened to kill his wife and children.
“He has always threatened to kill his family whenever he gets drunk but the wife took it lightly because she assumed he was under the influence of alcohol,” said Kortok.
