Man slashes colleague to death in a pub

Police in Nanyuki have launched a man hunt for a suspect who slashed his colleague to death following an argument during a drinking spree on Wednesday evening.
Peter Obare lost his life on his way to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The incident occurred at Likii slums in Nanyuki town where the two were having drinks in a pub after their daily casual work, according to Laikipia East senior officer Josiah Nyachiro.
The officer said an argument erupted and they began hurling harsh insults to each other. The deceased slapped the suspect on his face prompting him to go for a panga from an unknown place in preparation for retaliation.
He attacked the deceased with the weapon leaving him with deep cuts on his body and bleeding profusely.
The officer said that they have launched intensive investigations into the matter expressing confidence that the suspect will be arrested.
