Man sires with daughter

A man who sired two children with his 16 year old daughter at Kitsangani village in Tana Delta district was sentenced to 30 years of jail term by a Malindi court.
Ndaro Tsuma appeared before Malindi resident magistrate Lady C.M. Njagi and pleaded guilty to the charges.
He admitted of committing the offense on diverse dates between January 2009 and November 2011 at Kitsangani area in Tana Delta district within Tana River county.
Prosecutor J. Kimwaro told the court that the accused has sired a baby boy Gibson Ndaro (two and half years old) and a baby girl Gladys Ndaro (11 months old) with his daughter.
The case was reported by his wife before police arrested the suspect and took him to the police station.
He was later escorted by police from Tana Delta to Malindi court where he was charged with the offence of incest contrary to section 20 (1) of the sexual offense act number 3 of 2006.
Responding to the charges made against him, the accused said, "I have nothing to say but I have eight children at home who depend on me and I beg the court to have mercy on me as it make its decision."
Njagi said that the offense was very serious and thereby sentenced him to 30 years in prison before giving him 14 days to appeal.
