Nairobi - A man shot his wife and then himself dead in a domestic issue at Tena Estate in Nairobi's Eastlands.
The man, whose name police have kept secret, took his life and that of his wife in what was described as a domestic issue.
The incident took place Wednesday evening.
It is understood that the man killed the woman then shot himself in the head.
According to neighbours, the two had separated for close to a year but had just recently re-united when they started to stay together.
" They were quiet in recent times but in the past they had issues, " a neighbour that did not want to be named told News24.
According to police, the man was a licensed gun holder.
It is understood that he used a pillow to shoot his wife and himself as no one heard the gunshots going off and it was after a long period of time in which they were nowhere to be seen that they were found.
" He used a pillow to muffle the sound because the children were in the house and no one heard the gunshots," Buruburu OCPD Richard Kerich said.
The couple had two children, 13 and 7 years respectively.
