Nanyuki - A man has been sentenced to two months in jail for trespassing at an airstrip and repeating the same offense within a period of three months.
Jackson Lokilai was sentenced by Nanyuki Senior Resident Magistrate Evanson Bett after he pleaded guilty to charges of trespassing at Laikipia Airport compound for the second time.
According to prosecution security officers attached to the airport found the accused loitering in the compound without a permit at around 3.00PM on Wednesday.
The officers arrested and took him to Nanyuki Police station where he was charged with the offense.

The prosecutor told the court that the accused had been previously fined KES 500 in March for trespassing the same place.
However, in mitigation, Lokilai asked the court to forgive him since he had harmed no one and was just on a normal tour.
The court however said that he never learnt a lesson from the previous sentence and therefore a severe measure would be taken against him.
