Man released on KES 25 000 bond for stabbing barmaid

Murang'a - A man who allegedly stabbed a barmaid with a knife in Murang’a town has been arraigned in court.
Ephantus Waweru, who appeared before Principal Magistrate Brenda Kituyi was charged for stabbing Rachel Njeri at Sanasana Bar in Gathaithi market on June 15.
The prosecutor, Rodgers Alloo told court that the accused attacked the complainant as she cleaned the bar washrooms.
He said Njeri was taken to Murang’a district hospital where she was treated and discharged.
However, the accused person denied the charges and was released on a KES 25 000 bond with a similar surety.
The case will be heard on July 15.
