Nyeri - A man was Wednesday arraigned in a Nanyuki court for defiling his daughter.
He is alleged to have defiled his 12-year-old daughter on the night of January 1, 2015 at Ngenia Village, Laikipia County.
Appearing before Principal Magistrate Frolence Macharia, the accused was also charged with an alternative charge of sexually assaulting the minor and touching her private parts.
The court heard that the accused person’s wife had left following domestic issues, leaving behind her son and daughter.

The incident was discovered by neighbours who reported the matter to police officers and later took the minor to hospital for examination.
However, the middle-aged man denied the charges and was released on a KES 100 000 bond and a surety of similar amount.
The case was slated to continue on March 31, 2015.
