16 April 2015, 16:37

Nairobi - A middle aged man in Subukia was Thursday morning arrested for killing his wife by hanging her in their matrimonial home in Kabazi estate.

According to police reports Timothy Ndirangu, sexually assaulted before hanging his wife Jacinta Wanjiru on Wednesday night.

Subukia OCPD Alex Ng’ang’a confirmed the incident saying that the police were alerted by the village chief after the man reported to him that he had killed his wife.

“The young man confessed to the area chief that he had sexually assaulted his own wife and killed her by hanging her on the roof of their house after they had a domestic quarrel. He is being held and we have launched investigations before we take him to court,” said Ng’ang’a.

The man told the police that he killed his wife after he found out that she was cheating on him with his own friend.

“He says that he took the action after discovering that the late wife was cheating on him with his neighbor,” said Nga’ng’a.

The man is being held at the Subukia police station while the body of deceased wife was taken to the Subukia sub county hospital mortuary.
