Man kills son to get healed

02 January 2013, 13:24 Alloys Musyoka

Police officers in Malindi district have arrested a 35 years old man for allegedly killing his four year old son at Kichwa cha Ng’ombe village Langobaya division.

Kahindi Zero is said to have killed his child and removed the kidney, heart, liver and private parts before taking them to a certain pastor for him to be healed of a disease he has been suffering for long time.

Eye witnesses said the man killed his son at night, removed the body parts and then put them in paper bag.

The suspect was arrested by police officers after members of public informed them on the matter.

During interrogation by police, the suspect admitted that he had killed his son adding that he was fulfilling the order of one pastor who had promised to heal him.

“I was told by a pastor who was preaching on Radio to kill my son and remove those body parts then take them to him so that I can be healed,” he told officers.

Malindi police chief Kiprono Lang’at confirmed the incident saying that the suspect had already been taken to Malindi police station where he is being held for interrogation.

According to Malindi district criminal investigation officer John Ndun’gu, the suspect was escorted by detectives to their offices where he spent several hours being grilled on the issue.

He said the suspect will be arraigned in court after the investigations are complete.

The body of the deceased was taken to Malindi district hospital mortuary.
