Man held for killing wife with a shoe

Vihiga - A 29-year-old man has been held at Serem Police station for allegedly killing his 28-year-old wife by hitting her with a shoe following a family feud.
The incident that happened at Serem market on Thursday evening has left many people shocked, even as police launched investigations into the matter.
According to the man, Collins Vutiti, the wife came home drunk at night and a quarrel ensued, when he hit her with a shoe leading to her death.

“In the morning, I found her lying dead in her bed,” a statement that he recorded at the police station reads.
It is not yet clear whether the two spend the night on the same bed.
Serem police who visited the scene are yet to come out with reports indicating what could have caused the death of Jackline Mbusumbu.
Meanwhile, Vutiti who visited the police station to report the death has been held as probe into the death continues.
