A 40-year-old man from Teso North district is under police custody after allegedly defiling his daughter for the last two years.
Katakwa location acting Chief Erineyo Majune and Katakwa Primary School head, Joseph Eseme handed him to the Malaba police.
The 12-year-old standard 2 pupil narrated how her father has been defiling her since her mother was chased away. She said her father threatened to slash her with a sword if she dared reveal it to anybody.
Teso police boss Elphas Korir said the girl must undergo medical examination to ascertain the claim before charges are preferred
against the man.
The chief said the man admitted having committed the beastly act since 2011 when his wife returned to their home with his two children.
Majune thanked members of the public for volunteering information that led to the unraveling of the man's beastly acts.
The chief warned of dire consequences fathers who make their daughters their wives which were repugnant to justice. He appealed to the government to take stern action against the beastly man to serve as a lesson to others with similar intentions.
