Josua Mulono, 25, a resident of Iganga town in eastern Uganda was competing with 30-year-old Jackson Masaba.
Mulono is a taxi tout while Masaba carries luggage in town. They share one room with beds separated by a curtain.
According to Masaba, they were drinking local gin called 'nguli' in one of the local bars when they started arguing about who was the best in playing sex.
Each of the two reportedly argued that he was the best and could romp with a woman until she got tired and begged for a break.
After failing to agree on who was the best, they decided to compete.
''We agreed to 'buy' sex workers and play with them the whole night in order to see who would first make them exhausted and plead for mercy,'' said Masaba.
Masaba said that they picked sex workers from Naluwerere trading centre, a kilometer away from Bugiri town. That place is renowned of habouring many sex workers because drivers of heavy trucks from Mombasa to Uganda and Rwanda park there for their services.
One of their neighbors, Aron Mudhasi said that the two men who were competing first took drugs before entering into the competition.
When I returned home towards midnight, I found the two men smoking marijuana outside their room.
''I had ever heard that they smoke marijuana but that was my first time to witness them doing so. They were drunk and whispered to me that they had women in their room whom hey wanted to show fire," Mudhasi said.
Mudhasi said he was woken up at around 4.00 am by an alarm made by a woman shouting that the man she was sleeping with was dying.
Masaba said when they entered the room, they started romping with the sex workers vigorously with each trying to make the woman feel very tired and ask for mercy.
''It seems my colleague overworked himself. He was determined to win but he collapsed and the woman got so frightened that she sounded an alarm," he noted, adding that Mulono lost consciousness and his breathing became uneven.
It was then that they rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was been admitted and is recovering well.
