Man gives female beggar 2 packs of condoms, piece of advice

20 August 2015, 21:47 Godfrey Olukya

Kampala - A female beggar who has two children got the shock of her life when she approached a smartly dressed man for help only to be offered two packets of condoms.

The beggar, only identified as Akol, lives on the streets of Kampala with her two children aged 1 year and 4 years. While begging, she usually tells those she is begging from that she needs money to feed the children.

Thursday morning, she did the same to a smartly dressed man on William street. The man, dressed in an expensive suit, stopped and listened to her pleas.

When he dipped his hands in his pockets, Akol thought he was looking for money only for him to pull out two packets of condoms for her.

As the man walked way, she angrily insulted him saying, ''You are stupid. Instead of giving me money you give me condoms? Shame upon you.''

She told passersby: ''The man gave me the condoms and said I should use them next time I get a man who asks for sex so that I do not bring more children to the streets.''

Some people sympathized with her and gave her some money while others laughed and walked away.
