Man forced to 'excrete' drugs after JKIA arrest

Nairobi - A man was forced to excrete drug pellets he had swallowed after being nabbed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The man, 31 years of age and revealed by police to be Nigerian by nationality, was caught Saturday evening whilst on transit to Conakry Guinea.
According to police sources, the man had swallowed close to 30 pellets of Heroin.
He was forced to excrete the drugs at the airport's holding facility Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
The worth of the drugs was yet to be determined.

" Cases of persons hiding drugs in their bodily system have increased at the airport and we have had to be extra vigilant, the official said.
The man is said to have originated from Lahore Pakistan.
According to Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo, the man will be arraigned in court Monday to answer to charges of drug trafficking.
Kenya is a well known transit point for the disposition of drugs in the continent with officers at customs points trying hard to curb the movement of the drugs.
