The seven young men who apparently had limited knowledge in electrical installation had been hired to do the job by a local resident when the fatal incident occurred causing shock and anxiety in the area.
Kabar Chief, George Osoo said the six sustained severe injuries while the victim, Victor Okoth Oginga (28) died on the spot.
Osoo disclosed that the young men were busy pulling the power line which was heavy and suddenly the wires touched the high voltage live wire, throwing them several metres away.

He said police were collaborating with local administration to establish whether this could have been the case of an illegal installation.
Chief Osoo warned that anyone found culpable for having contracted the young men to do the job oblivious of the danger they were exposed to will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.
He said the survivors were rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching &Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) in Kisumu where they are undergoing treatment.
The Chief said the body was also taken to JOOTRH mortuary to await postmortem as investigations commence.
