A middle aged man has been put in remand by Mwingi law courts in Kitui county failing to raise a KES 20 000 bond.
Wyclif Kiplangat was allegedly found in possession of two fake KES 1 000 notes which he intended to unlawfully use to transact.
According to the Principal Magistrate Hezron Nyaberi, the convicted was arrested early last month in Mwingi Township and arraigned in court on Tuesday where he was charged with the offense.
The magistrate further issued an order to have the suspect remanded in Waita prison due to the failure to raise the required bond.
The case is set to be heard on 20th March as preliminary investigations on the matter are underway.
