A man in Kieni, Nyeri county escaped death narrowly after he was attacked by a buffalo.
Peter Ndirangu, 22, is now admitted at Mathari Consolata Hospital after he was attacked on Saturday by a buffalo while in a forest.
Ndirangu was in the company of his colleague when a rogue buffalo emerged from a private farm forest and attacked him.
His colleague who was a distance away climbed a tree upon sensing danger.
The two were said to be plucking palm branches in order to sell them the following day, on Palm Sunday.
Ndirangu who was badly injured by the horns of the buffalo is now nursing several body injuries but nurses at the hospital said he was in stable condition.
Ndirangu who is a father of one said at his hospital bed that he is now recovering after the few-seconds-attack.
“I have never witnessed such an incident in my life. It’s a miracle that I’m alive,” he said.
The buffalo was said to have gone astray from a neighbouring private farm.
The nurse in charge of the surgical ward Marion Kinaru said the patient is in stable condition after he was operated at the hospital theatre.
