A security guard appeared before a Nakuru judge Lady Justice Wendoh facing cannibalism charges.
The judge ordered the suspect be taken for psychiatric examination before taking his plea on July 5 and remanded in police custody.
The accused Amos Gichui Kimeria committed the crime of killing and eating some of the victims body parts a 32 year old Peter Chepongos at Tetu Village in Subukia.
The victim was on his way to the shop in the evening of June 28 between 7-8 pm when he was attacked by the accused.
After the victim went missing, the villagers mounted a manhunt and stumbled on dry bloodstains a few metres on a path way where the accused works as a caretaker.
The angry villagers stormed the accused mud house and a gruesome picture of cooked human remains and polythene bags that had human flesh.
The villagers later found the deceased’s remains in a nearby forest in the area.
