Man charged with being in possession of hand grenade

Likoni - A Mombasa law court has charged a man who was found in possession of an authorized explosive and a stolen motorcycle.
Amiry Jembe Amiry denied all the two counts before senior magistrate Richard Odenyo.
On the first count, it is alleged that on February 22, 2014 at Mwawechi in Ujamma, Likoni, he was found in possession of a Chinese 82-2 hand grenade with identification number 82-253-94 680 without authority from an explosive officer.
He was also charged that having been detained by police officers, he was found in possession of a motorcycle registration number KMC 876M, make SANLG reasonably suspected to be stolen.
The case will be heard on May 5, 2014.
