Nairobi - A man has been charged in Nairobi for sending a woman who refused his sexual advances several abusive Whatsapp messages.
Ali Kibuthi was charged Thursday at the Nairobi Magistrates Court for sending a woman derogatory messages on Whatsapp after she refused his sexual advances.
Purity Njoki, according to the charge sheet had sought employment at a salon in Donholm Nairobi where Kibuthi worked through him, but he had asked for sexual favours in return.
She however did manage to land the job without his help, which infuriated him, thus the abusive messages, some of which intimated that she had slept with many men despite her young age.
Chief Magistrate Hesbon Nyaga said that there was indeed a case to answer and allowed Kibuthi to be released on a KES 30,000 bail or a bond of KES 100,000.
The case begins August 12, 2015.
