A man appeared in a Nyahururu court earlier this week charged with threatening to kill his three children for allegedly snobbing him.
The resident of Kasuku in Nyandarua West district was arraigned before Acting Senior Resident Magistrate Vincent Kiptoon.
Samwel Mbugua Githii denied that on March 13 at Kasuku chief's office, he cried bitterly and vowed to buy a KES 200 knife which he would use to kill his three children because his wife had 'taught them to avoid and slight him'.
Earlier, the court heard that Mbugua had visited the children at their school but one of them rudely refused to greet him saying he was a 'sinner', adding that he had instructed his in-laws to dig three graves where the children would be 'buried soon, preceded by news headlines on television screens, radios and in all newspapers'.
Inspector James Koech said he would call seven witnesses to prove his case against the father of three who works as a casual labourer at local firms.
