Nairobi - A man has been charged for cutting off his son's ear and forcing him to drink the blood after a domestic problem.
The man was charged Friday at the Nairobi Magistrate's Court for causing his son bodily harm in June this year.
Apparently, the man named James Mbugua Wandia cut off his son's ear with a razor blade in Mathare Nairobi following a domestic problem in his house.
Initially when arrested, he claimed that he was punishing his son for making silly mistakes.
The son 6, was saved by neighbours who heard his cries for help and broke into the father's house. The man survived death from irate neighbours thanks to police intervention.
Chief magistrate Lucy Mbugua said that the man had been found guilty of bodily harm, assault and child neglect and said he would be handed a sentence next week Thursday.
Wandia did not plead not guilty to the charges.
