Man caught having sex with a cow

21 August 2012, 17:38Tony Karomo

A 30 years old man yesterday escaped death narrowly after irate neighbours who caught him red handed having sex with a cow at Mitungu in Imenti South District and attempted to lynch him.

The victim Lawrence Kaburu who was rescued by police from Mitungu Police station is alleged to have been used to performing the bestially act before he fell on the public trap.

Confirming the incident the District veterinary officer Stanley Itonga said the animal had severe injuries on the birth canal a trace that proved the act has been going on several times.

Speaking the owner of the young calf Moses Ntere said the accused has been visiting his homestead especially in the evenings since he divorced his wife.

“Kaburu always come in the evenings pretending he was coming to check on us but to some extent he goes towards the animals’ shed. A move that prompted me to be suspicious although he claims to help the house boy in feeding the animals,” said Ntere.

Ntere claimed that after suspecting some abnormal behavior on the calf he decided to alert the Veterinary officer and neighbours who laid a trap on the culprit.

“Together with a few of my neighbours we locked ourselves in one of my house and then the man came comfortably as usual he headed directly to the animal and started having sex with it. That is when we raised an alarm and as he was trying to flee we caught up with him but police rescued him,”Ntere said.

However he was arrested and arraigned in a Nkubu court and charged with bestiality.

“The matter is pending before court and we are demanding for justice for the innocent animal,” said the owner of the cow.
