Man beheads wife for calling him ‘kihii'

Nyeri - Shock has gripped residents of Ichuga village in Kieni East sub-county, Nyeri, after a 30-year-old man beheaded his wife for allegedly calling him an 'uncircumcised boy.'
Alexander Karwe is said to have killed Doris Nyawira, 25, as their two children watched.
A neighbor, Patrick Gichonge said a brother to the suspect visited the family at about 6.00am only to find that the mother of two had been killed.
He said the suspect, who is a truck driver, also dared neighbours to kill him too since he had killed the wife.

Gichonge said upon interrogation by neighbours, the suspect said his wife called him 'kihii' (uncircumcised man), which angered him.
Neighbours said an argument ensued between the two over plans to move house.
Efforts by members of the public to lynch the man were thwarted by police officers from Nanyuki police station who whisked him in their Land Rover.
The suspect was said to be a man of few words who also chews miraa and smokes cigarettes.
The body of the deceased was moved to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary, while the suspect was locked at Nanyuki police station.
