A man from Kieni West district, Nyeri county was recently beaten up by irked residents who found him allegedly mounting on a sheep.
26 year old herdsman Joseph Maina sustained serious head, hands and leg injuries after he was found by angry "Muti Umwe" villagers who rained blows and kicks on him.
The man is now recuperating at Nyeri Provincial General Hospital after he was allegedly nabbed committing the unnatural act with the animal.
Nyeri police boss Kirunya Limbitu said that the suspect suffered deep panga cuts on his head and hands.
He added that investigations into the incident have been launched and cautioned residents against taking the law unto their hands when they encounter suspected criminals.
Limbitu said that the suspect will be arraigned in court to be charged.
