Maina Njenga: I am not a Raila Project

16 July 2012, 15:37 steve Wambugu

Nairobi - Former Mungiki sect leader Maina Njenga has strongly refuted claims linking him to be Prime Minister Raila Odindga “Project” in the forth coming General election where he has also express interest for the top job in the hill.

The self proclaimed youth leader and a man of cloth has said a section of leaders from mount Kenya were going around spreading rumours that he was someones “project” refering to the Prime Minister because of their close relationship.

“Others are going around saying am someone's “project” and that am out to divide votes for some people. That is not true because I belong to no one and I am only a Kenyan Project for the youth and people of this country” refuted Maina.

Speaking at a burial ceremony of a related family member at Engachuru in Nakuru, Maina said his quest to become the next President of Kenya was to help the normal Mwanainchi, adding that only good leadership will enslave this country from the chains of corruption that have been there since time in memorial.

He further urged Kenyans to shun leaders who wish to use money to enter into power saying that each leader ought to be elected going by his/her previous record in the Government.
