Magistrate dies after short illness

Nyeri law courts have incurred another shortage of magistrates following the demise of Senior Principal Magistrate Shadrack Okato.
Okato was however acting as Chief Magistrate when Wilbroadah Juma was away.
According to a notice from the Chief Magistrate to all court users, the Senior Principal fell ill on Thursday morning while on duty.
He took a prompt leave and went to his backyard in Bungoma County. He later on passed away on Friday morning at his home.
The magistrate had served in the Nyeri law courts for only two years.
The notice added that burial arrangements are in progress and all the court users will be notified of funeral day soon.
