Machakos county to have a borehole in every village

Machakos - The county government of Machakos will set up a borehole, a dam and a water pan in every village in the next three years.
This was revealed by Machakos County governor Dr. Alfred Mutua to the residents who had gathered to see the governor commissioning the digging of a borehole at Kangondi in vyula Machakos County.
Speaking to the residents Mutua said that his government is fully aware of the struggles the residents of Machakos face on daily basis due to water shortages.
He vowed not to stop in his initiative of offering good services to the people who gave him votes and promised to speed up his development agendas to the people.

The engineers working on the borehole had to work for over six hours to get to the depth of the water; however the governor said no matter how deep the water table is his government will not relinquish its stand of having area residents’ access water with convenience.
Machakos county larger part lies in a semi arid area and water insufficiency is not news to the people, as residents travel long distances to obtain water.
However this project of having water in every village is likely to come as a remedy to the residents who were full of praise for their governor for heeding to their plights’.
