Nairobi - A Maasai moran from Narok county has also expressed interest in marrying President Barrack Obama’s daughter Malia.
Jeff ole Kishau, 24, said he is planning to meet President Obama when he comes to Kenya next month and propose his idea of marrying her daughter.
“ I am offering myself as a prosepective suitor for Malia Obama because she is very beautiful, nice and cute. I am not able to sleep at night,” Kishau said.
Kishau said he is in love with Malia and sought the opportunity to take care of her.
He said he has offered to give the family 500 cows in accordance with African traditions.
“Apart from cows, I will also sell my land so as to convince her to marry me ,” said Kishau who added that he is dying to meet Malia.
He was speaking during the launch of Eco-Manyatta at Suswa in Narok East constituency on Tuesday.
Kishau, who is a orphan, said he has looked for Malia on Facebook, Whatsapp,Instagram and Twitter but all in vain and decided to engaged his father directly.
“I know Obama has Kenyan’s blood and according to the African setting, it is wise to meet his father, elders and prospective suitor so as to handle such issues rather going direct to the daughter,” said Kishau.
Kishau, who is still a bachelor, says though he has never made contact with Malia, he has been following her progress through foreign media and various websites.
“I have a delegation of Maasai elders which comprise of Former Heritage Minister,William ole Ntimama, Narok Governor Samuel Tunai and others who will help me negotiate for this beautiful lady,” he said.
When asked about lawyer Felix Kiprono, who has also shown interest in marrying Obama’s daughter, Kishau said the lawyer is a joker, whose motive is to gain international attention only.
“My friend Kiprono is playing jokes with US president’s daughter because how can you offer only 50 cows to the daughter of the most powerful man in the world? To prove myself being serious I will give her father 500 heads of cattle and even more and I am ready to send them to the US or in form of money,” said Kishau.
He advised Kiprono to shelve his ambitions saying that Kalenjin people are best in athletics and he should try hand in that.
