MP calls for ouster of Rutto

Nakuru - A member of parliament from the ruling Jubilee coalition wants the Jubilee allied governors to gang up and oust the council of governors (CoG) chairman, Isaac Ruto for what he termed as misleading leadership.
Bahati Member of Parliament, Kimani Ngunjiri said that the Bomet governor was rude and disrespectful of the head of state and does not deserve to head the CoG.
Speaking at Nakuru town Tuesday, Ngunjiri said the move by the governors to snub a statehouse function at which the President was launching the purchase of hospital equipment for all County hospitals was solely influenced by the Bomet governor.
“Ruto is running the CoG like a personal property and what he says becomes law and all the governors’ have to follow. It is time the CoG reconsidered its leadership and stopped allowing someone with vested interests to dictate what they do. He can disrespect the President but let him respect the Presidency. All Jubilee governors must stop helping Ruto to achieve his personal political goals because by doing so they will be going against their party manifesto and if it means getting someone else to head the CoG, then it should be done like today,” said Ngunjiri.
Ngunjiri accused Ruto of being selfish and wanting to hold the government hostage by giving ultimatums and frustrating Jubilee’s development projects.
Governor Ruto has been at logger heads with the Jubilee government from the time he started pushing for increased County allocations, something which is opposed by the government.
