MP: Put 2022 politics on hold
08 June 2015, 16:21
Nyeri - Kieni MP, Kanini Kega has asked politicians to focus on development and good governance instead of the next general elections which are years away.
Kega said it is too early for leaders to start planning on strategies for the 2022 general election.
He was speaking at Kieni CDF offices Monday where he disbursed bursary cheques worth KES 8 million to needy Secondary school and College students from his constituency.
He said leaders should focus on fulfilling the promises they made to their electorates in the last election.
“It is not the right time to speak about elections that are seven years away. We should first focus on development and put politics on hold,” Kega asserted.
